Who
Ideal for photographers ready to move beyond natural light, these sessions are best suited to those wanting step-by-step instruction tailored to their level. If you prefer personalised guidance, hands-on practice, and direct feedback in a professional studio, this is for you.
What
These are private, hands on, in person trainings, where you’ll learn to work with flash gear, camera settings, and live lighting setups. Sessions are structured, with support to troubleshoot and refine as we go.
Why
Learning flash is a game changer for all photographers - work anywhere, anytime, without relying on perfect natural light. It builds confidence, opens the door to more professional jobs, and allows for far more creative control. Photography = light!
WHAT I OFFER
I offer two core types for individuals looking for professional photography:
All sessions include light direction, shot planning, and a proofing gallery. Retouching and add-ons can be included if needed.
All sessions include a pre-shoot planning call, a clear runsheet, and light direction throughout the shoot. You’ll receive a proof gallery with lightly edited images and the option to upgrade or retouch individual files.
All shoots are available in studio or on location, and fall into one of two categories:
Mini Session (minimal planning, fast turnaround)
An extended session (includes creative planning and more flexibility)
Choose Your Environment
STUDIO BASED
Controlled lighting in a professional setting, with clean, uninterrupted space. Ideal for photographers wanting to step into studio photography and build a solid foundation with strobes and modifiers.
Studio hire required and included in pricing.
ON LOCATION
Learn how to use flash outdoors or in real life spaces (e.g homes, venues). Great for wedding, lifestyle, or branding photographers who want flexibility and adaptability in realistic settings.
Location hire essential or client to provide space. Difficult environments (crowded parks, tight spaces) are not suitable.

HALF DAY
Covers 1 foundational setup, theory basics, real-time application, and lighting variations using one light source.
FULL DAY
Everything from half day + additional light setup, and more time to personalise or try creative techniques tailored to you.
Model Requirements
All sessions require a subject for hands on practice. You can bring a friend or colleague (no experience necessary), or we can organise a model for you as an added option. The person sitting must be comfortable being photographed in a learning environment with minimal posing needs.

Broader proofing gallery for selection
Optional add-ons: styling support, additional images, light retouching
